Currently, I am the CREATIVE DIRECTOR at SCHAUSPIEL KÖLN, leading the rebranding and marketing campaigns of the first season under the new artistic direction of KAY VOGES.
Kay and I have been working closely together since 2019, including five years at VOLKSTHEATER Vienna, where we developed numerous disruptive video campaigns.
When I was young, I actually wanted to become a musician – but never quite mastered an instrument well enough.
Instead, I picked up a camera and started supporting local bands I admired – with live visuals, music videos, album artwork, promotional clips, and PR stunts to promote their upcoming releases.
I discovered a knack for guerrilla marketing — coming up with bold, creative ideas that made an impact even without a budget.
My experience eventually opened doors to traditional advertising – including campaigns for Yamaha, McDonald’s, and T-Mobile.
In parallel, I supported political projects and NGOs I believe in. I contributed in various creative ways — from producing videos and campaign visuals to developing rebrandings and communication strategies.
That combination of commercial and political work led me to DIE BIERPARTEI.
Together with MARCO POGO, whom I have supported artistically since the early days of his band TURBOBIER, we hijacked several political campaigns with videos, memes and PR-stunts, until we suddenly found ourselves holding actual political offices in Vienna (AUT).
My work tends to move in all kinds of directions, and I’m perfectly fine with that. I’m not loyal to a conventional path; I’m loyal to learning something new along the way. The best ideas usually have some risk and mischief in them. And if I can look back and honestly smile about it, then it did its job.
